Accessing Contexts Counselling

In-Person

I offer 60 minute in-person sessions in a pleasant garden office in North Worcester. Following your enquiry, I usually advise that we meet for an initial session before we decide whether we’d like to make an agreement to work together further. We would usually meet weekly.

The room is designed to be a creative space, equipped for varied sensory needs. A therapy cat lives on site and attends sessions should clients agree to her company.

Parking is available and the room is located conveniently for the 144 and 303 bus routes.

Online

Online sessions are usually 50 minutes. Most sessions are offered on Microsoft Teams.

Enquiring for someone else

I work with adult clients and adolescents over 15 yrs on a 1-1 basis.

If you are enquiring for someone else, it is important to respect that, for counselling to be effective, the client has to be ready to engage. If your loved one is not sure if they are ready yet, an initial assessment can help them decide. It is a stand-alone single session where someone new to counselling can get a flavour of how it all works before they commit to regular sessions. Should a new client feel they would like company for some of the initial session, that can be arranged.

If a client is having sessions funded by a 3rd party, such as a parent or guardian, please be aware that the content of the client’s session remains confidential to them.

Some alternatives to 1-1 therapy include working with a couples counsellor or a family therapist. You can search for these specialisms in the filters on the Counselling Directory or the BACP Directory.
